
The much-anticipated Battle for Brooklyn DLC is now live in The Division 2, bringing new story content and kicking off the Crossroads season.
But many players are unsure how to access it, itespecially those who already own older editions of the game. Here’s a quick guide to get you started.
Do You Need to Buy the DLC in The Division 2?
Yes, even if you own the original Ultimate Edition, the Battle for Brooklyn DLC is not included retroactively. You’ll need to buy it separately.
There are two options:
- Standard DLC
- Deluxe Edition (includes additional perks)
New players can save money by simply purchasing the updated Ultimate Edition, which includes the new content.
How to Start the DLC in The Division 2
- Purchase the DLC from the Ubisoft Store, Steam, or your platform of choice.
- Launch the game and head to the White House base of operations.
- Locate the helicopter pilot in the garden area.
- You’ll get a prompt to travel to New York or Brooklyn. If you haven’t completed the New York missions, finish those first.
- Select Brooklyn to trigger a cutscene and transition.
- Once loaded, you’ll land in Brooklyn ready to begin the first mission.
Your character will be automatically boosted to Level 40, with new perks and progression included as part of the expansion.
Bug Warning
Some players have reported long loading times or buggy transitions during the cutscene. If this happens, stay patient or restart the game.
